A church of common people who come together with a common cause of praise and purpose.
Common People
God calls common people to do uncommon and extraordinary things. 1 Cor. 1:26-31 God does not call the qualified, but rather, He qualifies the called. Ex. 4:10-12 God calls us to come together so that we may encourage each other and spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Heb. 10:24-25
Common Cause
God calls us to a common cause of praise and purpose. We were created, first and foremost, to bring praise, honor, and glory to God. Ps. 150:6 We were also created with a purpose: to make Christ known to the ends of the earth. Matt. 28:19-20
Our Story
In November of 2020, a common group of believers began to come together for a time of worship, teaching, and fellowship. As this group began to grow, they went from meeting in living rooms to backyard patios and community clubhouses, or anywhere that would hold them.

Sensing that God was at work, a core group of fourteen people gathered together in a home and prayed about what God might be calling them to and what He might be doing in their lives. Seeking His voice and direction, this was a very specific time of prayer.
The prayer was this: “God, if you want to use this group that you’ve brought together to continue to come together as a church with a common cause of praising you as LORD and fulfilling our purpose of making Jesus Christ known to the ends of the earth, then we ask that You provide a place for us to gather together on a permanent basis. And if this is not YOUR WILL, then let the doors close.”

Not even two weeks later, God began to reveal to this group of common people what His plan had been from the very beginning. On December 7, 2020, Common House Worship partnered with Nease High School and the St. John’s County School District to begin having weekly church services in the NHS Auditorium and surrounding rooms in January of 2021.
On January 10, 2021, a launch team of seventy-nine people worshiped together for the first service at NEASE High School. Over the next seven weeks, the launch team continued to meet and began to build ministry teams and infrastructure for nursery, kids, youth, and mid-week men's and women's Bible studies.

On February, 28, 2021, Common House Worship held their public launch service, and was now open to the community. The entire morning was an inspirational and energetic celebration of God's goodness and faithfulness as 160 people sang their hearts out in a unified voice declaring that Jesus is LORD!
“I don’t know if today marks something new for us, but I’m open to what God has in store. I want to challenge all of us to take that approach together, to really press into God’s presence and begin to see what God wants to do through us.” Pastor Jake (during our very first meeting together in November 2020)
